The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the program and terms. Please note: This year’s Dune Race takes place for the first time at Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre!
START MATERIAL PICK-UP AND REGISTRATION
April 19 from 11:00 to 15:00 at the competition centre in Pärnu Keskus
(Aida 7, 1st floor, opposite Selver)
April 20 at the start area (Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre stadium):
Canicross: 9:00–9:45
Dog Walking: 9:00–13:05
NB! To collect the start materials, the competing dog’s veterinary passport must be presented.
NB! We recommend that you pick up your number already on Saturday to save time on Sunday.
Race materials are handed out based on bib number, i.e. start materials are sorted by the numbers, not by names. Therefore, please check your number from the start protocol in advance! Start protocols with start numbers will be published on the website of the Two Bridges Club latest on April 18th at 15.00.
In case of a lost, damaged or forgotten bib, a new one must be purchased from the secretariat for €5.
LOCATION AND COMPETITION CENTRE: The event takes place at Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre. Check out the competition centre map here. The competition centre is open from 9:00 to 15:30.
PARKING: Free parking is available at the event centre. If full, cars will be parked along the road leading to Jõulumäe.
WC, CHANGEROOM, WASHING FACILITIES: Facilities available at the event centre until 15:30.
SECURED BAG STORAGE: Located in the stadium’s maintenance building. Open from 9:30 to 15:30. Bags are checked in and out based on bib number.
START TIMES:
10:00 – 5 km Canicross
11:30 – Children’s races
12:30 – 21 km run
13:00 – 10 km run and walk
13:20 – 5 km run and walk
13:25 – 5 km Dog Walk
START GROUPS: Based on the bib number, each participant is required to start from the corresponding start group, otherwise the participant will be disqualified.
Canicross participants start in pairs with 10-second intervals. For the first 200 m of the course, each pair is separated by mesh fencing. The starting order is based primarily on the 2024 Canicross results. Participants must gather in the start area by 9:50. The organizers reserve the right not to allow latecomers to the course. The dog must cross the finish line ahead of the runner. All Dog Walk participants start together in a single group.
COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS FOR CANICROSS
- Participating dogs must be at least 12 months old. Younger dogs are not allowed on the course.
- Dogs must wear a harness on the course. Participation without a harness is not allowed! A regular leash may be used as a pulling leash and it may be attached either to the hand or around the waist. (Flexi leashes are not permitted.)
Dogs must be on a leash both on the course and in the competition centre. - Only one dog may participate per runner. Switching dogs during the race is prohibited.
COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG WALK
- Dogs must be at least 9 months old. Younger dogs are not allowed on the course.
- A collar or harness may be used, and the leash can be either regular or flexi.
Dogs must be leashed both on the course and in the competition centre.

VETERINARIAN: A veterinarian will be present in the first aid tent.
TIMING: An electronic timekeeping chip is attached to the back side of the bib. Please check it before the start! Only participants with a valid 2025 Dune Race bib number are allowed to start. The bib must be worn on the chest and be visible throughout the entire course. The bib is personal. Only the registered participant is allowed to use the bib. Do not fold the bib or remove the chip. The chip deactivates automatically after finishing; it does not need to be returned. Timing service is provided by Ultimate Sport Service OÜ.
FINISH: Each finisher receives a drink and a Farmi sweet bite from the catering tent. The finish line closes at 15:00.
MEDAL: All finishers receive a medal at the finish.
CATERING: Provided with bib number. Menu: soup, bread, tea.
AWARD CEREMONY FOR CANICROSS: Starts at 11:00.
Awards are given to:
– Top three in each age category in the Canicross
– Special prize: “Brightest-eyed race duo”
RESULTS, PHOTOS & DIPLOMAS: Results are published in real time at www.championchip.ee. Unofficial results will also be available on the Two Bridges Club website. Final results with diplomas will be published on the organizer’s website no later than April 25. The finish protocol is a public document. The organizer has the right to use and publish all official photos and videos for marketing purposes.
AFTER THE RACE: Upon request, unclaimed prizes may be delivered at the recipient’s expense.

BEFORE STARTING:
- Get enough rest before the sports event and do not come to the start tired
- Make sure your dog also gets adequate rest before the event
- Stay hydrated and choose a suitable diet
- Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly
- Choose a pace suitable for both you and your dog; avoid overexertion
- Make sure your race gear is in good condition and meets the requirements
- Make sure to bring your dog’s vaccination passport and check that all required vaccinations are up to date
- We recommend not feeding the dog within 4 hours before the race (except for small treats) and avoiding heavy water intake within 1.5 hours before the start
HEALTH CHECK:
- Each participant is responsible for their own health and confirms they are physically fit to complete the chosen distance
- In case of a health issue, the participant must stop and seek assistance from the aid station, organizers, medical staff or call 112
- Each participant is also responsible for their dog’s health and is advised to consult a veterinarian before participating. In case of any health issue affecting the dog, the participant must stop and contact the aid station, organizers or the veterinarian.
Medical check-up: We recommend a pre-race health check for both the participant and the dog. You can consult your family or sports doctor. To assess your dog’s health condition, we recommend visiting a veterinary clinic.
